Canadian Acts & Standards

HomeResourcesCanadian Acts & Standards

Each Province and Territory has Acts and Standards that regulate the installation, maintenance, alteration and operation of boilers, pressure vessels, and refrigeration systems. It is important that power engineers familiarize themselves with the corresponding Acts and Standards applicable to the jurisdiction they hold their license in. These laws are enacted and redacted by the jurisdictions technical regulator to increase safety.

The acts with varying difference between the regulators applies to everyone. In addition to power engineers all licensed contractors are required to keep up to date with changes in their jurisdiction.
