As you may know Lambton College is proud to be hosting the Gathering of the Colleges and you are invited!
The Gathering of the Colleges is a two-day event that brings together College representatives and industry partners to discuss pertinent topics related to the field of Power Engineering. I have attached the current working agenda here. We do need to make further arrangements for space and meals so please do RSVP HERE if you have not already confirmed your in-person attendance.
If there is someone from your institution who should also be invited please let us know.
We are happy to be starting with a keynote speaker –
David Timm will be giving a 1 hour talk on May 25th at 9:00 AM entitled “Global Energy Strategies, Markets and Transitions – Looking Forward to a Sustainable World”. This will be a cutting edge and very current analysis. David’s role at Northland Power positions him well to speak on the culminating impact of recent global events, sustainable energy targets, and electrification of the automotive sector on energy markets at a national and global level.
More information about David and Northland Power:
David Timm is the Global Head of Public Affairs at Northland Power, one of Canada’s oldest and largest Independent Power Producers. Northland is a global leader in developing, financing and operating renewable energy projects, both on and offshore, with over 12 billion dollars in assets in 12 countries across 4 continents.
David is an experienced Public Affairs executive with over 20 years of experience in the sector. He and his team are at the forefront of the energy transition dialogue in many mature and emerging renewable energy markets around the world today, advocating for effective policy, legislative and regulatory frameworks that support the global push for cleaner, more sustainable energy systems, a Just Transition for workers and supply chains and the continued growth of Northland’s investment interests.
Note: due to the overwhelming preference for an in-person event we have decided to eliminate the virtual component for this year’s event. If you have already confirmed your attendance and are no longer able to attend, please contact Kyle Walker : kyle.walker@lambtoncollege.ca
