HomeAbout IPEAreas and Branches

When you become a member of the institute of Power Engineers you will join the branch nearest to where you reside. The IPE has branches across Canada and has represented power engineers since 1940. Structurally each province/territory has an area executive which is composed of a group of branches. Each area(province/territory) has a representative on the national board of directors.

Check out volunteer opportunities.

Functions of the Area and Branch Executives:

  • Provide resources and support for local and regional members.
  • Collaborate with local and regional governments, industry and stakeholders.
  • Organize local meetings and events.
  • Facilitate and organize local and regional educational partnerships.
